HME as well as Pharmacies that provide diabetic supplies must be Accredited by 10/1/09.  There has been confusion and some pharmacies don’t think they need to be accredited.  If the pharmacy provides any type of DME or DME supplies, they do need to be accredited.

HME Surety Bond Deadline 10/2/09

HME providers participating in Competitive Bidding must be completely registered by 11/04/09.  Despite the fact the rules do not say “must” if you plan to participate you need to start the process as early as possible so you will be considered.  CBIC website
